Terms of Service

1. What Sell Off is
Sell Off is a map-first marketplace where people list items and properties for sale and discover listings near them. Sell Off is a venue only: we do not sell anything ourselves, we do not process payments, hold funds, arrange delivery, or take part in transactions. Any sale is a direct agreement between buyer and seller.
2. Your account
You need an account to list, sell, or contact sellers — browsing is open. You must be at least 18, provide accurate information, and keep your credentials secure. We support passkeys and recommend them. You are responsible for activity under your account.
3. Listings and conduct
You may only list items you own and may lawfully sell, with honest descriptions, prices, and photos. You must not list: weapons, drugs or controlled substances, counterfeit or stolen goods, live animals, recalled or hazardous products, adult content, personal data, or anything illegal where you or the buyer are located. You must not spam, harass other users, manipulate prices, scrape the service, or attempt to move conversations off-platform to evade safety measures.
4. Location privacy
Public listings show an approximate area, never your exact location. Your exact coordinates are stored encrypted and are not shown to other users. Do not put your address or phone number in listing text — use the in-app chat.
5. Moderation
Users can report listings, messages, and users. Listings that receive multiple independent reports are automatically hidden pending review. We may remove content, restrict features, or terminate accounts that violate these terms, at our discretion and without prior notice. Moderation actions are logged.
6. Safety
Meet in public places, inspect items before paying, and be cautious with high-value transactions. Sell Off does not verify items, guarantee their condition or legality, or mediate disputes between users. Keep conversations in the app — it protects both sides.
7. Your content
You keep ownership of what you post. You grant Sell Off a non-exclusive licence to host, display, and distribute your listing content for the purpose of operating the service. Deleting a listing or your account ends this licence except where retention is legally required (see the Privacy Policy).
8. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sell Off is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for losses arising from transactions between users. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
9. Changes and termination
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the app with reasonable notice. You may close your account at any time from Privacy & data.
